Privacy

This policy covers dominares.org and buying tools there. Dominares Tools is run by Joseph Linares, a sole proprietor based in San Diego, California (“we”, “us”).

What we collect

When you continue to checkout, the GitHub username you entered and that account's public id are sent to Stripe with the checkout, whether or not you finish paying, along with the tool you're buying and the version of the terms you agreed to. Stripe collects your payment details, email address and billing address to process the payment. We can see your name, email, country and purchase in our Stripe account, but never your full card number.

To show you the account before you pay, and to find it when you ask for access, this site looks up the GitHub username you enter in GitHub's public records. Cloudflare uses your IP address to limit how many requests one address can make to the buying and access pages in a minute.

Why

To give your GitHub account access to the tools you bought, to handle refunds and chargebacks, and to answer your questions.

Where it's kept

Purchases are kept by Stripe and repository access by GitHub. This site has no database of its own. Cloudflare, which runs this site, keeps request and error logs so problems can be fixed.

How long it's kept

• Purchase records. The checkout and payment, with the tool, the GitHub username and id and the terms version, stay in our Stripe account, including checkouts you started but didn't finish. We don't delete them on a schedule. If you ask, we ask Stripe to delete your data, except payment records that must be kept for tax and legal reasons.
• Repository access. Your GitHub account keeps access to each tool you bought until a refund or a chargeback of that purchase ends it, as the refund policy describes, until you ask us to delete your data, or until you leave the tool's repository. An invitation you don't accept expires after 7 days.
• Logs. Cloudflare keeps this site's request and error logs for a limited time under its retention settings.
• Email. Emails you send us are kept while we need them to help you. Ask, and we'll delete them.
• Stripe and Link. Stripe and Link keep their own records of your payment under their own privacy policies.

Other buyers

Every buyer of a tool is a read-only member of that tool's private repository, which has no issues or discussions. Other buyers can't see who bought, unless you star or watch the repository, which lists your account there.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Because nothing tracks you, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Stripe's checkout page has its own privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Email support@dominares.org. We'll remove your repository access and ask Stripe to delete your data, except payment records that must be kept for tax and legal reasons. Because the purchase is sold through Link, you can also ask Link to delete your data; when it does, we remove your repository access too.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@dominares.org.

If you live in California, you can ask us what personal information we collect about you, where it comes from, why we use it and whom we disclose it to; get a copy of it; have it corrected or deleted; and use these rights without being treated differently. We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent. We check that a request is really yours by matching it to information we already hold, such as a reply from the email address on your receipt, and we answer within 45 days.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, its version and effective date change, and the new version is posted on this page.
